Jolly Futures is in the initial stages in Malawi.Project Start Date
2018Implementing Partner
Ripple AfricaIn 2018-2019 a Jolly Phonics pilot study was conducted in the Nkhata Bay community on the shore of Lake Malawi, in partnership with the charity Ripple Africa, that was already supporting schools there.
Although the teachers were initially very positive about Jolly Phonics, timetabling challenges meant that they did not teach Jolly Phonics as expected, and so a reliable study could not be implemented. It is hoped that a new pilot study will be conducted there soon.
