Jolly Futures has achieved vast improvements in learners' reading and writing abilities in the Oshana Region, including in home languages.
Following successful pilots in most other regions, Oshana region lead the country into a national rollout of Jolly Phonics in February 2022.
In 2023 the MoEAC ensure that the new cohort of grade 1 pupils recieved Jolly Phonics materials. These were printed locally by MoEAC with the licence to reprint provided by Jolly Learning Ltd. With three Namibian Jolly Phonics trainers regions are able to make provisions for refresher teacher training when needed.
Strong support from MoEAC at multiple levels continues to sustain the impact of the donations made in 2022.
Oshana Region has rolled out Jolly Phonics to all schools in 2018, and pilots have been conducted in 10 further regions. In 2022 Jolly Phonics was rolled out to all 14 regions of Namibia. It is now being used in every public school Grade 1 class in the country!
