Telangana - India

Telangana state recognises the value of on going monitoring and mentoring of teachers post training.

In 2018 Jolly Phonics was piloted in Medichal and Mahabubnagar Districts with positive results. The (then) collector Mr. Ronald Rose, an IAS Officer, emphasized the need for training followed by mentoring and monitoring support. The mentoring support was done by the Collector. 2019-20 saw the first district rollout in Telangana in Mahabubnagar. The Collector visited the training venues and found the teachers participating enthusiastically. Monitoring and mentoring of teacher implementation was also coordinated by the Collector to ensure the programme was sustained.
